Shelley Jones is a director, producer and commissioner based in London.
She developed a taste for storytelling as an editor at youth culture magazine Huck for over 7 years and from there she went on to develop her career in the commercial field – making award-winning films for brands like Levi’s, Nike, Google, Size? and Finlandia Vodka.
In 2016 she produced her first narrative short film The Nest, which starred This Is England's Vicky McClure, and was selected for tens of film festivals including Clermont-Ferrand and Tampere.
Shelley won the Vice Rule Britannia competition at Sheffield Doc/Fest in June 2016 for a 30-minute documentary on a dismissed steelworker in South Wales that now has over 250,000 views on YouTube and she helped produce her first feature Obey in September 2016, starring Nymphomaniac's Sophie Kennedy Clark.
Since March 2017 Shelley has worked as a commissioner for online culture channel NOWNESS where she develops original short form film with some of the medium’s best directors.
She leads their flagship series My Place and recently embarked on a prestigious partnership with London's National Gallery.
